My memory is good but not exceptional. I believe that memory plays an important but only a supporting role in one’s ability to reason well. Highly intelligent people nearly always have good memories, but people with good memories vary from highly intelligent to, well, not very smart at all. And truly phenomenal memories correlate with limited cognitive ability.
