An Excuse for Not Recycling?

Marilyn: I’m having a disagreement with someone. She’s on my case about my lack of recycling. I tell her I decided long ago not to have any children, which I say has done more for the national recycling effort than anything else I could do. Other than the obvious “you can always do more”-type of argument, is my point valid?
