Kate Middleton has spring wedding fashion down to a fine art, as she demonstrated when she wore a weather-perfect blue tweed coat to a wedding last week.
Stepping out in the sunny but still-cold British weather, she was the picture of elegance in the Missoni coat, which she accessorized with a black beret and pumps.
She was accompanied by Prince William and Prince Harry at the wedding of their friends Lucy Meade and Charlie Budgett.
Kate didn’t foresee that another guest would show up wearing the same Missoni coat—but it’s possible that Laura Baillie, who jazzed up the outfit with pink heels, was inspired by the Duchess in the first place. Kate first wore the coat at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012.
We can’t wait to see what Kate wears during her three-week tour of New Zealand and Australia this month! In the meantime, if you were wondering about the ivory shirt that she wears in the gorgeous family portrait that the Cambridges have just released, Us Magazine reports it’s the same silk Temperley London top that she wore when touring Canada with William in 2011.
