Is Kate Middleton Past her Due Date?

With royal fans gathering eagerly outside the London hospital where the Duchess of Cambridge will give birth and no sign as yet of the royal baby, it looks like Kate Middleton may be past her due date. April 25 and 26 were rumored to be the days on which the baby was most likely to be born, but the weekend passed without incident.

Back in March, Kate told a member of the public that she is due “mid-to-end of April.” With May fast approaching, Kate’s labor might be induced if she is becomes than two weeks overdue.

Meanwhile, royal watchers continue to wait outside St Mary’s Hospital in the hopes of catching sight of the duchess when she arrives to give birth in the Lindo Wing—where Prince George was born almost two years ago.

If the baby arrives on April 29, he or she will be born on Kate and William’s four-year wedding anniversary. There’s no word yet on whether the couple is having a boy or a girl, but according to a Sunday Times survey, 12 per cent of the British public would like the baby to be named after Princess Diana if it is a girl.

Alice and Charlotte were also popular girls’ names, with James and Alexander taking the top spots for boys’ names.
