Picking up where Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted left off, DreamWorks Animation’s latest hit Penguins of Madagascar follows the black and white birds on a top secret spy mission that leads them to meet up with an undercover task force named “North Wind.” There is where we get to meet the series’ new characters like a wolf voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, a baby seal voiced by Ken Jeong, a polar bear voiced by Peter Stormare, and a snowy owl voiced by Annet Mahendru. And what better way to top it all off than to have an octopus villain with John Malkovich’s voice. Penguins of Madagascar is a whole lot of animated fun that fans of the Madagascar series will dig.
Parade is excited to premiere this exclusive clip from the Penguins of Madagascar Blu-ray (in stores on March 17). The clip features stars Benedict Cumberbatch, John Malkovich, and Ken Jeong in the voice-recording studio laying down the tracks for their animated characters in the film. It’s a fantastic little clip that shows Cumberbatch trying to sound like a wolf, gargling water, and barking while Malkovich explains how he spent time living in an octopus tank to prepare for the role. Jeong, on the other hand, has a bit of a misunderstanding about who he is going to play, which leads to a hilarious fashion choice for his voice-recording session. Really fun stuff that fans are going to love.
Penguins of Madagascar arrives on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray & DVD on March 17. It is available on Digital HD now.
