It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen an action-revenge-thriller as wild and unhinged as Chad Stahelski’s John Wick. Starring Keanu Reeves, the film completely embraces its concept, pumps the martial arts anime style action to the max, and turns its leading man into one of the baddest men in recent cinematic history. It is unabashedly fun, totally entertaining, and one of the coolest movies to hit theaters in 2014. While John Wick was most certainly a box office success, the fact that it hits Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD means you have no reason at all to miss it. It’s the most fun hour-and-forty-minutes you’ll have in a while.
Parade is excited to premiere this exclusive clip from the John WickBlu-ray (which arrives in stores today). The clip features director Chad Stahelski and Producer David Leitch discuss how they met and formed the stunt company named 8711. They go on to explain how they take a unique approach to fight and stunt coordination by actually filming the training sessions so they can see how each move translates to film. Finally, we get to hear from star Keanu Reeves talk about Stahelski and Leitch’s company and just how important they were in making the fighting in the film look great. It’s definitely a fun clip that fans will dig.
