It’s “Vive la France” when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show takes place for the first time in Paris on Monday, December 5, featuring some of the world’s hottest models in the skimpiest of lingerie.
Strutting the runway will be Victoria’s Secret Angels including Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge, Elsa Hosk, Jasmine Tookes, Josephine Skriver, Lais Ribeiro, Martha Hunt, Romee Strijd, Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell and Taylor Hill, among others.
“We’ve wanted to come here for many, many years,” said Edward Razek, the executive producer of the show and the chief marketing officer of creative services at Limited Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret.
His reasoning? The bra was invented in Paris in 1889.
This year’s Fantasy Bra, valued at $3 million, is set with 450 carats of diamonds and emeralds. It will be modeled by Tookes and was designed by Eddie Borgo.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Lady Gaga, who performs “Million Reasons” and “A-YO;” Bruno Mars takes to the stage for “24K Magic” and “Chunky;” and The Weeknd, who is dating Bella Hadid, sings “Starboy.”
The runway show will include pink carpet interviews, model profiles, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the world’s most celebrated fashion show.
Since it debuted in 1995 in New York City, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has taken place in Cannes, Los Angeles, Miami and London.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs Monday, Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, and will also be seen in more than 190 worldwide.
