On Tuesday, ABC introduced 12 new shows for the upcoming 2014-2015 season, including the new Shonda Rhimes drama How to Get Away With Murder, a couple of rom-coms like Manhattan Love Story, and a musical dramedy set in medieval times, Galavant.
ABC’s strategy for next year is to stick with what it knows—namely giving over its entire Thursday-night lineup to ShondaLand. The great mind behind hit shows Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal is bringing what is likely to be another must-watch drama starring Viola Davis.
The network also presented a show that won’t debut until 2015: American Crime. Network execs commissioned the show from 12 Years a Slave writer John Ridley with the simple task to “be bold.” For more information about these and the rest of ABC’s new lineup, keep reading!
