Sometimes an interview turns out to be even more fun than you expected, and this is definitely one of them—enhanced with a bit of bling! Marlyne Barrett, who plays Maggie Lockwood on Chicago Med, bubbles over with positive personality, and in this quick video chat, she shares the love with the world’s nursing community.
As the head charge nurse in the emergency department of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, Maggie keeps an eagle eye on the ensuing pandemonium.
Here Marlyne talks about Maggie’s involvement in so many people’s lives, and how we’re now seeing more about Maggie’s own personal life. In real life, Marlyne’s mom is an NICU nurse, she says, and Marlyne has studied nursing herself.
Throughout our conversation, Marlyne celebrates the role of nurses who “take care of everyone.” She gives a shout-out here for nurses to reach out to her with their input.
Marlyne, 38, may be best known for television roles in Damages, The Wire and Kings. She’s also appeared in other Dick Wolf series including Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Chicago Med‘s fall finale was Thursday, November 10 as football shifts to NBC on Thursday nights in mid-November. Open your Outlook and mark the date: Chicago Med returns January 5.
