Acclaimed director Mike Mills (Academy Award–winning Beginners) brings honesty, humor and a celebration of family in all its different forms in the upcoming film 20th Century Women. Set in 1979 Santa Barbara, California, times are changing and 50-something single mother Dorothea Fields (Annette Bening) wants to raise her adolescent son Jamie (Lucas Jade Zumann) right. Dorothea recruits two younger women, a punk artist and a teenage neighbor, to form a makeshift family that can give Jamie more than she can give him alone.
