Eddie Murphy is about to end his four-year movie drought with the drama Mr. Church on September 16, in which he plays a cook whose relationship with a family spans decades. But don’t expect another Beverly Hills Cop/Nutty Professor/Norbit yukfest, he says: “The [pay]check movies are over.” The actor, 55, says he’s moved on to more meaningful roles.
