For the first time since 2005′s blockbuster hit Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are reuniting on camera.
Aside from the fact that the script was written by Jolie, few details about the new project have been announced. According to The Hollywood Reporter, there is speculation, however, that the script is one the 38-year-old actress wrote several years ago about a couple trying to save their marriage. A director and producers have not been named.
Right now, Jolie is steeped in post-production work for her film Unbroken, the true story of WWII POW survivor Lou Zamperini. Pitt, however, doesn’t look to have any other upcoming projects on the horizon, so work on this mystery movie could begin once Jolie finishes with Unbroken.
Fans of the engaged couple have waited almost 10 years for them to reunite on screen, but the Jolie-Pitts famously try to schedule their projects so one of them is able to stay with their six children. But now that Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, their youngest daughter, will make her film debut in Maleficent later this month alongside her mom, perhaps this untitled project is a chance to bring more of the family into the limelight.
