Remember records? Of course you do. Happily, vinyl is still spinning its way into the hands of music lovers—whether they’re 16 or 60—today. April 16 is Record Store Day—a global celebration of independent record stores, where vinyl is still king—and Metallica, is this year’s official ambassador. (Head to recordstoreday.com to find a participating shop near you.)
“Independent record stores are part of Metallica’s DNA,” said drummer Lars Ulrich. “They have been pivotal in shaping each one of us into the music fanatics we’ve all become. We could not be any prouder to be Record Store Day Ambassadors for 2016.”
