This morning, country music legend Brenda Lee and Country Music Association announced the latest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Lee introduced inductees into three categories: “Veterans Era Artist,” “Modern Era Artist” and “Non-Performer,” which is awarded every third year in rotation with the “Recording and/or Touring Musician Active Prior to 1980″ and “Songwriter” categories.
The inductees included:
Famed producer and founder of Monument Records, Fred Foster, Non-Performer
Fiddle-playing country boy Charlie Daniels, Veterans Era Artist
Crooner Randy Travis, Modern Era Artist.
The Class of 2016 marks the 56th group of Country Music legends to be inducted into the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame, which was created in 1961 by the CMA.
