Whether you’re a diehard Super Bowl fan or just a lukewarm observer, there are always plenty of lessons to be learned, both on and off the field, from one of the most-watched television broadcasts of the year. But perhaps the biggest Super Bowl take-away message is the power and importance of teamwork. From football moves and halftime extravaganzas to award-winning commercials, the event is the epitome of teamwork in action. There is no solo-driven success happening at the Super Bowl.
Finding your star power is important, but does anyone truly shine without backup players? Creating, inventing, performing, parenting, and making touch downs often happen, and are made better, because someone else is in our corner, watching our back, and cheering us on to succeed.
So why do we hesitate to ask for help and build our team? Perhaps it’s time to embrace teamwork a little more. Consider collaboration and accept assistance. Find your cheerleaders. AND become part of someone else’s cheering squad, because giving back and watching others win is also important– and fun. Kind of like the Super Bowl.
