“Give me an authentic woman, and I’m happy.” —People
Telling 60 Minutes about his low-key life when he was in the Elephant Man on Broadway: “ I always sort of talk about—to myself at least, or to my friends—about wanting to just keep life very simple. I’ve found it most simple here in New York…basically I have a 9-to-5 job. I do eight shows a week. I live in New York City. I get to walk everywhere and just be one of the people of the city. And it’s actually wonderful.”
Talking with Details about living with his mom: ”…Right now, two years after my father’s death, this is where we are. My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other. So here we are. But don’t get me wrong. It’s not without complications. It’s not like I live in a compound and she’s in the guesthouse. No. She’s in the next room. But here’s the thing: She’s a cool chick. We can hang, and she can roll with the punches.”
“I love the company of a great woman. I think a relationship works best when both partners have a certain ease in the way they relate to each other and there’s a level of harmony that goes beyond just physical attraction. There’s nothing better when you’re able to share that kind of closeness.” —The Mirror
“If you’re a single man and you happen to be in this business, you’re deemed a player. But I don’t see myself as a ladies’ man.” —People
