First Look: Jennifer Lopez’s Shades of Blue NBC Series

Jennifer Lopez is coming to TV — not as an American Idol judge but as an actress — when her new cop drama Shades of Blue premieres on NBC on January 14.

This morning, Lopez took to Facebook to post the first trailer for the series, writing: So proud of Shades of Blue. Can’t wait for you all to see it. Check out the trailer now! “Who we think we are and who we turn out to be… are they ever the same?” #FirstLook #ShadesOfBlue.

Here is the NBC description of the series: Lopez stars as sexy New York detective (and single mother) Harlee Santos, who fell in with a tight-knit group of dirty cops, taking bribes and protection money that she uses to provide the best life for her honest and talented daughter. When she’s trapped by the FBI, however, and forced to inform on her own “brothers,” she’ll have to walk the fine line between love, loyalty, honor and betrayal, and try to keep it together for her daughter’s future.

Ray Liotta, Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Drea De Matteo, Hampton Fluker, Vincent Laresca and Sarah Jeffery are also in the Shades of Blue cast.

Shades of Blue will make its 2-hour debut on Thursday, January 14 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
